Billboard Music Awards
So! I missed the Billboards because I was at a birthday party. From the reviews and blogs and twitter chatter I have figured out that I'm sad I missed the white carpet; John Legend's tribute to Whitney Houston; the tributes to Robin Gibb, Donna Summer, and Adam Yauch; and Ceelo Green getting back to his rap roots with the Goodie Mob. Please feel free to shoot me those YouTube videos if you find them before me! :)
I was intrigued by all of the hoopla about Miley Cyrus' outfit so I looked it up and I think she looked fabulous! She is an adult now, isn't she? She looked sexy, hot, and all grown up and I loved it! What did you think about her outfit? Am I missing something?

Met Gala Part 2: Hope Springs Eternal
I went to sleep too soon! There was still nothing that made me swoon like the camo Jean Paul Gaultier gown (it's probably not a good idea to swoon like that very often!). There were some very nicely styled people on the red carpet. Very pretty looks with nice, clean lines. Less is almost always more...
I should have know Sophia Vergara would not disappoint. She looks marvelous in Marchesa!
I immediately loved this dress but didn't choose it the other night because it's short and I think if you're attending a gala, your dress should be long and dramatic! The bottom line here, though? Gwyneth Paltrow is rocking the hell out of this little Prada number and it is hot!

Met Gala
Maybe I'm in a bit of a mood...
I had a really hard time finding looks I wanted to highlight on this red carpet. Everybody seemed to be trying way to hard. I didn't love anything, but maybe there's more to come? I haven't seen SJP yet so maybe there is yet hope! Alas, below are some elegant looks that I liked!

I normally don't post bad outfits, but what were they thinking? To quote Annette Bening in "The Women" - there's a difference between an outfit and a "get up"! I'm pretty sure when one gets dressed for the red carpet, they don't want one's first reaction to be laughter, but this I what I did when I saw these

Fitness is Fashionable!
My first thought when I started this post today was, "...and in other non-fashion related news..."! Then I thought that it will always be fashionable to be fit and healthy!
So! That being said - I have decided to become a certified yoga instructor at the coolest yoga studio in town (of course!) and have entered a contest to win my tuition for free!!!
